Richard Bruce Cheney is the son of Richard Herbert Cheney of the late Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. He was born on the 30th of January 1941 within Lincoln Nebraska. At the age of 13, Richard Bruce accompanied his parents from Nebraska to Casper (in the US state of Wyoming) in Wyoming, where his father served as Director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's soil conservation district.
